I think that this is probably not news, but I recently ran across this and it sounds great! U-he Tyrell N6 V3. I think this version has been around since 2013, but I am running as a VST3 in X3 with no issues ... https://www.u-he.com/cms/tyrelln6

What's not to like?  2 oscillators, 8 voices, loads of great sounding presets to experiment with.  And with MIDI learn!

I am saving up for Arturia V Collection, but in the meantime ...

Tyrell is the name of a project by the German online magazine Amazona.de. A reader survey and follow-on forum posts provided a pool of ideas for a low-cost HARDWARE analogue synth, which Mic 'Moogulator' Irmer collected and used to develop quite a powerful concept. Based on a design similar to Roland's classic Juno 60, a few modules and novel features could be added without making the product too expensive...

However, it soon became obvious that developing the hardware would have taken years, so (Urs) offered to turn the core design into a freeware softsynth. That was late 2010. Only a few weeks later, TyrellN6 was out for beta testing! After some serious bug-fixing and fine tuning, the final release version became available in April 2011.

An oldie but a goodie.

Ya, I've used Tyrell N6 on a couple of tunes. Very stable. There's extra patch banks available for it as well.
There's no manual that exists to my knowledge, but that shouldn't stop anyone from using it.

The VST2 version crashes Sonar, for some reason, every time I try to use it. Not sure why. I haven't tried the VST3 version yet.

Anyone else have this problem?

The latest version of the Tyrell N6 v3.0 installer offers both VST2 and VST3 installations.

I'm still on Sonar X3, but for some reason it only sees the VST3 version of the instrument.  I have both versions installed and set the paths for VST scan to both folders. Apparently with the VST3 support included with X3e, the VST2 version is hidden from my view.

I can load and run the VST2 version in Project5.

I will probably be upgrading to Platinum lifetime soon, so I will check the VST's again when I do.

I just found a nifty user guide v 1.1 for Tyrell N6 V3, that was revised 9/2016.

Scroll down this page to see download links for the plugin and the new manual.

I never saw a user guide for this before, so it will be handy to have!  I love this synth!

I am running the VST2 64-bit version in Platinum x64 ... no issues!
