Yes, it will work with any mobile device with a 4 pole input connector. (The connector for the headphones with the built in mic attached.) So you can connect guitar, bass, keyboards and dynamic microphones to your devices and record/play. iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Macbook and iMacs. Even Windows computers/tablets/phones with a TRRS input can use this. Plus most Android devices. Then the BlueTooth 4.0 connection as well for music playback with wireless connection.

The specs are killer compared to anything else you'd compare it to and a 10 hour battery life.

I like this spec listed below. it say's it all, A getto blaster with an itype connector, 1,000 of these are on the market already, I've got one sitting beside me I bought for the kitchen from London Drugs for $70, so this is nothing new at all.

SPECS
  • 40W total power (2x16W low-frequency, 2x4W high frequency). What a joke, 16 watts! but somehow streching it out and calling it 40 watts in a misleading way, but even 40 watts is pathetic unless it was a tube guitar amp were distortion is welcome. :>

So this thing will play with my Win8 phone? But the iRig stuff won't will it?

I read up on it. Looks rather nice. Will it be available in music stores so that you will be able to hear it in person?

Oh, so it doesn't even have an iDoc port? It only has a TRRS jack ? $300 you got to be kidding.
Folks, you can buy the same thing for well under $100. For this kind of money you can by a 100 Watt or more Powered speaker, With XLR and 1/4" jacks.
How can you claim this thing is for musicians when it doesn't have the connections we use? I have all sorts of adapters but I have yet to find a TRRS adapter for my phone to playback music into a PA. I've yet to see a Guitar with Bluetooth output.

You will not find one this size, with this connectivity (Including inputs for guitar/bass/keyboard/mics), 10 hour battery life and with this sound.

On another note, we have the iLine Cable Kit to connect mobile devices to the tools most modern musicians use. Amps, headphones, preamps, FX pedals...

Yes, you should be seeing it in your local IK Dealer location. If not, request it, they have a contact here where they can request one.

FYI, the 21st century version of the Gibson Firebird has Bluetooth or something similar. The guitar interacts with wireless foot pedals and has a full-on effects system onboard. If they ever sort out the batteries it could be cool but right now they seem to run about 40 minutes. The DSP and communications really sap the battery.

Very true, just met with a friend who works at Gibson last night for dinner and we talked about it. Including the software that controls it all. Works great and the better technology gets the longer the battery life will be.

I know some of you think its not worth the price, but reviews are coming in and the sound needs to be heard to be believed. 100% Italian design shines in the iLoud. Even KVR, where we are generally not well received, are praising the new iLoud: http://www.kvraudio.com/f...torder=asc&start=0

That's the KVR page where iK Peter says

"We also don't recommend Bluetooth for real-time performance and recording, never have. That's why there's the 1/8" input and the iRig circuit. These details are also available on the product page, though it seems we should post a mirror or the product page and sub pages here in the future"

I guess you can always use a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter for when you want to play your guitar in real time.

    :-)

It's also the thread where the guy who bought one and gives it a glowing review states:

"My other set of wired mini speakers were only $50. This is the major leap up in quality I was wanting..."

    :-)

Actually the built in iRig Circuit is 1/4" input. The built int 1/8" TRRS input sends signal to the iOS device and back out to the speaker. So the guitar/bass/mic/keyboard goes into the iLoud's 1/4", the signal goes out the 1/8" TRRS and back to the iLoud
