I know some of you think its not worth the price, but reviews are coming in and the sound needs to be heard to be believed. 100% Italian design shines in the iLoud. Even KVR, where we are generally not well received, are praising the new iLoud: http://www.kvraudio.com/f...torder=asc&start=0
Hi Obi,
I was looking for monitor/speakers that were travel friendly. When I received your announcement about the iLoud (please don't make me ever have to say or type anything like that again), I was immediately interested. However, as convenient as a single stereo unit is, how much separation can be expected from such a (small) device? Not to mention the hefty price tag; I lost a lot of that initial interest. After all, a single, reputable mid-range monitor can be had for that price.
BTW, wasn't there an even smaller unit to be released?
Kind regards,
Living Room Rocker
Its decent, but really its hard to explain speakers over text. The frequency response is great, meaning incredibly flat and accurate. Stereo separation is good as well, but depends on how you have it positioned. It can be great head on, but off to the left/right it will be thrown off as well. The price fits the build and sound quality. Italian design at its finest really, which is why the reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, save for 1 thing. The price.
Granted, people are used to cheaper price tags of other units that look similar, but the sound and design are what sets it apart. Sure you can buy a powered monitor, but it is a lot bigger, lacks bluetooth, no built in iRig circuit and such. If you want cheaper, go for something else. If you want quality, iLoud has it in spades.
