Hi all im using sonar platinum and loving it for making trance/house and have added to my sonic arsenal buy getting synthmaster 2.8, serum, sylenth1! Synthmaster was my favourite but sylenth1 sure gives it a run for its money and serum...wow that thing is amazing. Great for basses and any sound you can think off, and was wondering what synths do you guys love and why?  

For bass my go to is Spectrasonics Trillian. But I'm using it less and less since I've grewn tired of large samplebased libraries.. These days I'm mostly using Meldas Mpowersynth which is fantastic and all things Arturia....

I wish I could say Reaktor.  I don't know how to use it yet,

I would probably say SynthMaster too.  And since you already have version 2.8, you may want to check out the crossgrade to SynthMaster One for $29.  It's only got two oscillators, but they sound good, and plus they have added 100 wavetables.  The simplified GUI makes dialing in a new sound a snap.  It might be great for what you want to do.

I'm prob the only one who loves Rapture Pro with Z3ta2, but that's what I usually use. Mostly because I own them. :-)

Z3TA+2 is still one of my favorites.  Very powerful, with lots of waveshaping and sound mangulating potential.  It seems to stay on the lists of the top soft synths for a reason.
