Hey
I am not really used to routing, and could need some help.

I have the Motu Ultralite MK3 Hybrid FW/USB interface. There are several I/O on it, so I figure it would be possible to use a pair of the analog OUT into a pair of analog IN and the use that IN to sample i e Youtube audio in Native Instruments Maschine.  I have no problem to record/sample from a mic into Maschine. I set the External input (see below) to IN 1 which is my Mic. Shouldn't it just be to switch it to External IN 3/4? I have sent Analog 1/2 OUT to Analog 3/4 IN on my MOTU card.

I have seen a tutorial on Maschinetutorials.com where he routes a Mic, turntable and cellphone as well as sampling from iTunes. He uses a multi-Out mixer/Audiointerface, and swith the Externa in.

I would be thankful for any help.
PS - and yes I've checked that all IN/OUT are available in audio settings.

Erik,

I have the 828mkII hybrid but they should be the same..as this is a function of cuemix..

if you look at your audio input routing options in maschine, there should a "return" option.. in which case you can simply sample the mains out directly without wires :)
