It's a short little thing... And I may well be the ony one in the world to hear it, never mind your muffled ear.

(feel better though... Those ears are valuable, Bapsi...)

This has a discticnt POCO flavor.  Which is a compliment in my book.  How do you get a Les Paul to sound like a Tele?

I like the tune and the whole sound but there are some pitch issues with vocals.  You could probably fix it with V-Vocal, but its always better to re-record.

I like the song, good job!  Nice guitar work.

@Daryl - Thanks for the comments. FWIW, the first two mixes had "raw" vocals. This mix was Melodyned (within my skill level) and although better, it probably could still use a re-record. The singer is in Chicago and I'm in the greater Los Angeles area; so I'm unable to book a do over session. That would be up to Mooch (Paul) in Chicago, as that is where the original recording was done.

Back for a second helping on the new mix.  I think Kevin's vocals sort of remind me of Geoff Tate on the early Queensryche stuff.

Sounds terrific, guys, great song with a great sentiment for a good cause.

Nice job!

hey guys - I didn't hear any of the previous versions.  this is pretty good.  I think Jules is right about the vocals - he can sing and it's just a matter of whether one finds his voice pleasing or not.  I know that feeling well!

I'm not really hearing any separation of the instruments, they all seem squished into the same soundspace.  the performances are great, tho.

sorry I hope that doesn't upset someone, it just seems cramped together, if you know what I mean.

I really like the tune bapu.  The vocal is probably in the 'acquired taste' category.  He sings the heck out of this thing.

Nothing in the mix bugged me.  It sounds pro.  I like the placement of all the instruments.

Tremendously nice job.

Peace,

Ian

EXkeys now?  What next?  :)  (and since everyone else wants something up louder, I would say if you're gonna play the keys, you could bring them up a touch or two (.75 dB maybe?  lol)...so I don't have to strain to hear them.

All around, fantastic writing, performances and mix.  Great song!

@ Shawn - Thanks for the listen.

@ Bob - A double shot? Thanks again for stopping by.

@ Beagle - Thanks for the listen. Not sure if you mean EQ or Pan when you say "squished into the same soundspace"

@ Ian - Thanks for the kind words and taking the time to listen.

@ Janet - Thanks for the kudos. To me, the piano part was not meant to be "there" but just under everything. But maybe once the real BGVs are done maybe I'll consider giving the piano a boost.
