clintmartinNoel's new title is Senior Manager of Audio Core...so how about...Audio Core by BandLab.
11Dreamssharkedappa1I agree they need to advertise not how Cakewalk used to do it. Cakewalk used to do it like they were hiding something and didn't really want to show the world. THAT HAS TO STOP PS those vids that cake used to do with the annoying rock music. That has to stop too. The lack of enthusiasm in the Vids that would have to stop also. They have to stop catering to ROCK music fans of that dated genre. PLEEEEEEEASE Bandlabs do not do all the above if you really care for the new platform that you have in mind.I agree they need to get away from the "mature geezers recording rock" image - not that there's anything wrong with mature geezers recording rock, it's just that the image does not whet the appetite of today's kids looking to buy their first DAW. Modern music production is a wonderland of advanced synthesis, sampling, beat creation and all kinds of freaky production techniques, and the kids are getting excited about this stuff by watching videos on YouTube in which instructors do all kinds of cool stuff in DAW's like Ableton and FL Studio. These modern production techniques aren't limited to bleepy electronic music either - you hear them in pop, hip hop and even guitar-centric genres like some kinds of metal. It would be financial suicide for the new Sonar to ignore this market. They need to market the DAW to everyone from singer songwriters to bands to aspiring bedroom producers making electronic styles. Cakewalk had a virtually non-existent presence in the world of video tutorials and this almost certainly contributed to its demise. Ehhh. lol, What they need is a guy who is using Cakewalk across the board like a Dave Pensado or a Warren Huart YouTube "DYI" Show. Someone with real life credits. If there is such thing. if that's not an option they need to create a network of newer studios to start putting up real life recording sessions maybe even live.

I was also thinking, if BandLab is jamming version, then ProducerLab (a bit long)StudioLab or Audio Core Digital Composer, but we culd just use the Acronym for this
