For those who haven't been following along - Cakewalk the company was, long, long ago, "Twelve Tone Systems" and had this MIDI program called Cakewalk. Customers tended to think the Company was Cakewalk, so the company changed it's name to meet customer expectations. Well, it wasn't that cut and dried, but that's the big picture version anyway.

So, DoDeca - 12
Now we just need a translator to tell us what Tone and Systems were in Ancient Greek.

Could it be:
 
DoDecaDAW? 
 
DodyDaw?

DeskWalk?

My Favorite Cakewalk name  is "Home Studio"  as it sort of covers a lot of what the market for this DAW is. Not only that it abbreviates nicely to HS.  
 
Leave Tools for the so called Pros. 
 we don't want them to call it Home Tools or Beginner Tools now do we :)

Well know on market. No need to convenience people including new potential users it is quite mature DAW? Less money spent for marketing.
 
Changing name will nothing change for good for current or future users. Change really needed is to improve audio engine and make it less crashy. Finishing already started features with imperfect workflow is another topic worth to focus. And then constantly introduce new workflow improvements and new features/content.
