i don't think there will be any "harking back" to "cakewalk sonar", whether in name or whatever, i suspect we'll be surprised and i suspect they already have a name, maybe even from before they bought the cakewalk ip ("when we launch our daw we'll call it x")

But they've already called it X three times !

I'm quite sure that BandLab's lawyers and designers have already come up with their new name for this and the related assets...

Based on their other names, where everything refers only to BandLab itself, not with individual product names, I'd imagine that they will be going with something like:

BandLab Studio

they're busy establishing the bandlab brand, so that makes sense (i don't know about anyone else, but their purchase of the cakewalk stuff was the first time i'd heard of them)

If the desire is to have the product's name consistently at the top of a google search list, the one sure-fire way to do it is to invent a name. As some of y'all have tried doing so far. I don't like any of them though. Inventing words is not an easy task.

Band Lab Erode (or Band L'Abbey Road) ... okay, back to the drawing board.
