Ha, you picked up on that.  I was telling the Band when I first introduced this song to them, that the Bass line was probably the simplest that I have ever played, but it was a huge revelation to me when I did this.  I was amazed how playing a single D note, entirely through the verses, created a tension that I really liked.  Its like it just held a foundation while everything else move around it.

I heard it in the first listen..... but didn't say anything about it then.   Yup, I like that.   An old song...How long, has this been going on.... did that same thing. Very cool.
