Jammer-  Thanks for listing Bro.  Sean is noodling around on another go at the Solo.

I must have hit upon this number after you have made some changes.  It all sounds good to me.  From my perspective, I like the lead guitar break that I heard.  I take it from the lyrics that this is a reflective song but the lyrics and music (to me) suggest that this is also a song of joy.  If indeed it is then, for me, the lead fits.

Nice one!!

A more melodic solo would suit the song much better I think.

James- Thank you for listening and commenting.  I believe that Sean is going to work on trying another Solo attempt,  based on your comments.  Glad you like the song.

Steve-  I appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment.  Glad you liked the song as well.

I am currently working on a different guitar solo. After a number of comments, I was compelled to revisit and consider whether the original solo actually fit the song. Mike, Reece and I all agreed that there was merit to the idea that something more melodic and less raucous would be more suitable. (Admittedly, I tend toward raucous as my default, but I am trying to mature and stretch my horizons a bit). Thus I have embarked upon a musical adventure inclusive of the subtleties of bends, pauses, effects and amp models. Hopefully my efforts will pay off. Thank you for listening and commenting, and aiding in the improvement of the music and the creative process.

Michael, I've been listening to your songs for a while.  Your love for music and dedication shines in this tune.  The mix is terrific, and it has a warmth and clarity that I find very appealing.  When the second verse kicks in, it takes the song to another level.  Your vocals make this song stand out for me.  The lead and backup are both performed with feeling and are tight as a drum.  Well done on all the instruments and arrangement.  This has much cross over appeal.  Sorry to be so late to the party.

Michael - wow. This is a gorgeous tune. The recording is so clear and full. Sounds like a pro recording to me. This is an excellent tune.

God Bless.

Thanks Lynn, mighty fine compliments coming from you.  I like it very much that you feel this has much cross over potential.  That is the style that I really prefer to shoot for.  Thank you especially for the comments on vocals.  I have always struggled, but in the last few years, I feel I am finally finding a unique voice of my own.  Both Sean and Reece only make me sound that much better.

Mark- I appreciate the listen and comments, brother.  Thank you for the feed back.  Telling me what you like is as valuable to me as telling me when I miss the mark.

New version of this song on Sound Cloud with Sean's new solo.  Let us know if this solo fits this song style better.

Hi Michael, nice song, singing and production. The guitar solo has some intonation problems, imho.

Rik, thanks for the listen and comment. I read your comment, went back an listened, and...doh! I hear it (about 2:24). It seemed like a good idea at the time. :P

I've sent Mike a fix. Thanks again.

Hey Rik-  Thanks for catching those issues with the intonation.  Sean has fixed them on his solo and I have posted a new file on Sound Cloud.
