Lynn
I remember this song-I liked it before and I like it now.  It's got to be close.  Perhaps, juice up the cool but subtle percussion?  EQ wise, it is crisp and pops out of the speakers quite well.  It shouldn't require much change.

HI LYNN,
YES, pump up the percussion....... check!
thanks man

Hi BB, the song is absolutely perfect and I'm not saying you should make that lead acoustic louder but on my crappy speakers and my crappy ears ; ) the bass is covering the low register of the lead acoustic. but after reading your thoughts about it, it does make sense. Still, lovely song and sounds !

you know, i did a mix session on this one last night,
and decided that i had SO MUCH low end off my taylor 414 (beast is huge) that i could roll off the low end starting all the way up to 200hz, and all it did was add clarity to the mix...

i think before, maybe i dipped it at around 150hz, but the mud is really from about 250 down...

I always massage my bass before a session.  I heard Tanya Tucker did the same thing.

Sounded great man!!! Your vocals always are for real, I like that about you. The music is great also, makes me think of a different time and place. Very dreamy sounding.

THANKS SERIOUS!
i try to be straight up with the vocal delivery,
or rather, i just try not to get in the way.
LOL

Nice composition .. I liked the tune and arrangement .. sounds good

thank you for listening and commenting makke,
believe it or not, that arrangement was off the cuff..

i had the riff worked out,
but didn't know starting the track, where i would take it..
and just kinda arranged it in my head, as i went along.

then, i had to go back and learn it.
LOL again.....

I listened on 280 pros.  Sounds perfect.  The imperfections make it charming. what a great song!  great driving music.  It has the same appeal as  a song like *Wide Open Spaces* by the Dixie Chicks, but your orchestration is much more complex than that of course.

i like the sound of those 280's....
nice cans.

wide open spaces,
always did like that song, never thought about it like that....

Nice 'front to back' 3-D feel to this mix Rob, sounds really nice to me., you've got loads of space in and around the acoustics and I like the vocals sitting back slightly where they are, takes me back (also) to early Yes, Moody Blues, that kind of thing.

I remember this one from before. I loved it then and love it now.
Excellent guitar and vocal performances. Nice subtle percussion.
Guitars sound perfectly eq'd and the vocal sits just right in-between.
Great stuff
