Really liking some of the changes in v4 so far!

Such as?
I'm waiting to see how much the Tracktion Waveform upgrade will be. (I'm guessing $49)
If I decide to upgrade Mixbus, I need to decide if I'm happy with MB4 or do I want to jump to 32C.
I'm also hoping to read some user reviews before I decide. I don't want to spend much on a second or 3rd daw.
Your feedback will be appreciated.

Why would one upgrade or buy MBv.4 if one is planning on upgrading or buying MB32c v.4?

curious.

Good question.

I was already on board with V3 of Mixbus when 32C came out. The upgrade for V4 of Mixbus was a killer deal (for us Plugged In Members) that I couldn't refuse. I'm sure as a Plugged In Member my V4 32C upgrade will be killer too.

When the cost of upgrading MB becomes beyond my threshold, I'll stop upgrading it and stick only with the 32C upgrade path.

If anyone is unclear as to what a Plugged In Member is: Plugged In Membership is a paid fee of $9/month that gets you extra discounts on plugins as well as discounts and early delivery of either MB or MB32C. You can stop and start PIM anytime. If you are PIM in the month before a of a new plug or DAW release you qualify for that extra discount and/or early release.

Getting Mixbus first is a great way to get into it. It is the must cheaper option initially. You cannot wait around and read reviews either. It is a sonic thing that has to be experienced. Mixbus has the overall essential Harrison console type sound built in and once you start playing around in it you start to hear how it sounds. The tape saturation is another aspect of it too.

M32 is an extended version which includes a fabulous EQ channel strip well worth having alone plus extra buses and other facilities. I don't have it yet but very close. You can certainly get a lot done in Mixbus before M32C. The monthly deal is an excellent way to get into M32C as well for sure.

I started by mastering stereo mixes in it.  Then bringing in stems from Studio One.  All the stuff coming from the buses.  You start hearing Mixbus more, and then I have not so much yet but you can start by tracking in it then. More start to finish type mode.

The synchronising options are great too as it can be master or slave. (rather than Studio One which can only be master) The Harrison mastering plugins are real nice too. That multiband compressor is very good! The mastering EQ is unusual to use the way it shapes the sound.

I'll be grabbing the V4 update. It's a no-brainer @$39. I've only picked up the basic Harrison plugs, but they're really nice sounding, particularly the reverb. I don't need the 32C version and find it a bit hard on the eyes, so it's great news that the original hasn't been left behind.

I interpret Harrison's commitment to Mixbus4 (vs. 32C) akin to SOANR Artist vs Platinum.

And that is in no way to look down on Mixbus4, if 32C had not come along I would still be a happy Mixbus4 user.

Upgrade pricing?

Not yet. This is a Plugged In Members* only upgrade. Expect regular user pricingin 24 to 48 hours on Mixbus 4 (not 32C V4 yet).

*Plugged In Members is a $9 per month fee that gets you stuff at yet a further discounted price.

Can I get a link please.

I'm pretty impressed with MB4 so far.
Now I need to see what Tracktion's Waveform has to offer. (and how much that upgrade will be.)
I'm expecting it to be around $49. It should be out this month.
Tracktion has a new groove maker thing that looks interesting, and a new midi window, and has ARA for Melodyne.
I may be tempted to pass on it, and upgrade to 32C. (I expect that upgrade to be around $99. we'll see.)
Mixbus is fun, and for a old guy like myself, it's nice to work with something that looks like an old school board.
