Check out this forum thread on Big Bang crashes. Enabling the Learn button before doing anything else may or may not work, I didn't try it. What worked for me was to insert Big Bang AND IMMEDIATELY SAVE THE PROJECT. No crashes after the initial save.

Meanwhile iLok support reset everything so now Wobble and Twist work.  The only drawback is reactivating 39 vsts that are on the drive and on two machines.  Problem solved and Pace support was timely but what an inconvenience.
