You say these are nothing more than just feelings. But I have a different viewpoint here. It is only my good feelings that give my life value, worth, joy, beauty, etc. since they are the only experiences that have a real quality of value, worth, joy, beauty, etc. in my life. No other experience has any real quality of those things for me. It is not a matter of me looking at the experience of my good feelings, projecting a value judgment upon them, and claiming that they are the only experiences that give my life value, worth, joy, happiness, and beauty. Rather, this is what the experience truly is for me. There is a big difference between projecting a value judgment upon an experience as opposed to what the experience actually is for you. As I said before, I am not doing that. I am not projecting any value judgment upon these good feelings.
Imagine a situation like this. Imagine that you had no ability to experience physical pain and someone started to saw your arms and legs off. It would not be any horrible experience for you and, therefore, the experience wouldn't be anything at all to you. But imagine if you could feel physical pain. Now the experience is the most horrible one for you. This analogy applies to my good feelings. When I don't have my good feelings, then all experiences in my life are nothing to me. But when I do have my good feelings, then everything in my life is filled with the experience of joy, value, worth, beauty, and inspiration.
Experience is everything to life and it is vital that I have my good feelings since they are the only experiences I have to give my life and composing value. Without experience, then we would either be dead or unconscious. This means that having value and worth in your life is always an experience which would mean here that I would need my good feelings on a virtually 24/7 basis to constantly generate value, joy, worth, beauty, and inspiration in my life.
