Wookiee
Following on from the thought expressed in another thread.

Origin - A friend suggested I should write music for the seasons, I decided I would write one for each month of the year this is the fourth written so far.
Inspiration - In part the Roman calendar, in part the growth of a flower.
April is the Second month of the Roman calendar, our fourth month, Aphrilis - The Opening a loose interpretation.

I hope you enjoy, thanks for listening, constructive criticism welcome.

Very nice Wookiee - great choice of sounds.
i don't know if it was intentional (probably) but the way those chords in the first minute 'open' - very clever - it gave me the visual anyway.
Roll on Spring - we had 2 feet of snow this week and there's another storm due on Wednesday!

That's a great idea.  I had a creative writing teacher who did the same thing for a writing exercise.  This reminds me of TS Eliot, The Waste Land.

I have no crits, I just wanted to let you know what it reminded me of.  I can't wait to hear the rest.

I definitely got mental pictures of melting snow filling up creeks and rivers, leaves sprouting from trees, and buds coming forth from the ground.  I also picked up on some increased activity as the hemisphere woke up from its slumber.
Great sounds and music.  Very creative.

Thank you Daryl, yes those chords are intentional glad you enjoyed it, hope the snow clears quickly for you.

Jesse thanks for letting me know you like the idea and are looking forward to the rest.

Freddy, your mental pictures are what I was aiming for I am so glad I managed to convey that vision.

Thank you all for taking the time to listen and comment.

Nice mood in this piece.  I read what you're doing, and that sounds pretty cool. Nice title too.

This would be great to listen to at work, but they've blocked Soundcloud on the network....bastards...

Thank you Voda, sorry to hear you can not hear it at work, obviously your IT security Dept. do not understand the merits of listing to music.

It's got vibe...   Not necessarily "spring-like" for me, but I liked it.

The arps over the sustained organ chords has (for me) an "icey" quality to it.  So maybe that is the flowers trying to break through?    Anyhow, overall the piece has a nice "FM" ambiance vs. traditional analog that I think works well.
