Also, I've noticed that in EDM the voices are often treated like one of the instruments, especially if they're treated electronically, rather than as upfront like they are in rock.  At least that's how I tend to hear EDM.

Definitely - that's a helpful observation actually - I completely agree that VOX in EDM are more of an instrument.

Love it, very creative. I would like the vocal louder however, more up front. I think as is the bass is too loud and steals the attention (at least mine, anyway) from the vocal, which is pretty killer.
 
I'd say keep the bass as is (very commercial) but can you boost the vocal elements just a bit?

Tom - It must be a good thing to have someone ask to turn my vocals UP! I must admit I really thought about making the vocals louder but decided it fitted the ambiance more to have them sitting slightly out of focus. When they were closer upfront, the whole track lost a dimension. p.s - I'm currently listening to 'The Stars at Night' which is a really lovely track! And a nice, interesting mix too. Nice work!

I liked it.

Nice...  Cool groove, laid back but still pushing a little.  The vocals sound fairly well balanced, loved all the little parts coming in and out, and the mix is clear and spacious.  
 

Great mix! Sounds really good here and the song is very well produced!
A lot of little details which kept my interest during the song and all of them implemented without beeing too upfront.
Very balanced tune!
