I gave up on IK, except for the Ampeg plugin. I even bought a few others, but I never load them anymore because of this nonsense.

I'm done with IK because of this.

Just look at the free stuff, the Fender Collection and the Ampeg Collection.  I never look at anything that I didn't purchase.

I find it funny anyone would not use these great sounding amps because of presets. Kinda like not using a real tube amp because they don't have presets.

I have all 3 of these and I appreciate the Amplitude issue here, however I keep ending up using Amplitude I have 4 of the collections and that may sooth  most of the problems. Gtr3, I like but don't use it much. I never even think of Revalver. Try finding a couple of the default presets that are good , fiddle with them to your taste then save as a preset. I think that may be what keeps sucking me to Amplitube, I think I like the building my set up.

When you buy a pack, you get presets that work with that pack. How is that too hard to understand? I can't figure out how a company goes through the expense and time and effort to bring to market a very good product and then alienate your customer with a goofy, convoluted, BS preset system.

What a goofy thing to have your loyal customer base get flushed down the toilet because of.

To RSMC, not that the fake presets will brick wall keep anyone from using these products, analogy not entirely the same, though understand your point. They are great programs and most of us able to weigh the pros and cons. Prevailing wisdom seems to be to use the system and create your own presets with registered modules.

Just the time waste weeding out the adds is a bummer. Drowning in clutter that should not be there. We should have the option to use the product we purchased and not have it thrown back into the demo mode unknown because we hit a preset that needs 10 more dollars to use.

I did a holy jihad on Revalver. Took about 20 minutes. Just for the hell of it. Went through hundreds of presets and deleted anything, sometimes entire banks sending the program back into the demo mode without a credit card.

Works good. Presets although hundreds less, all work. Can now cut thru the crap and use the program. Can also audition any effect with the big red D and haul out the plastic if I can't live without it. Amplitube next if there is a parallel fix.

It's not exactly that. It is the constant barrage of "buy this" while trying to use them. At this point, there are better plugins that don't feel like adware that I have to pay for.
