Drum sound is ok, but doesn't sound like a drummer playing.  The hi-hat work and snare give the game away.  Not much you can do about the hi-hats, I don't think, but the repetitious double smack on the snare every 4 measures doesn't sound like a real drummer.  I can also tell the same general beat is re-used a lot.  This may not matter for what you're doing, though. 

You are right, this didn't matter much to me, however your opinion does. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience!
I've played with many live drummers and do know how diverse their styles can be. Some like lots of ghost notes, fills and tricks, while others prefer to just keep the beat. Then again, some of the best records in the world use drum-machines. This means, you don't have to always mimic a real drummer, or even real drums. If it feels good - it is good.

Hey, nice demo tune indeed. I agree with the idea of dialing down some of the reverb on the snare.
 
What most impressed me about your mix was the backing stuff tucked under while your guitar lead was a'shreddin' . . . you had some arpeggiated guitar noodle repeating sometimes, and at other times, sounded like a synth pad, both of which could have muddied up your guitar solo, but they didn't.
 
Did you somehow eq carve space for them, or do something with mid-side processing? It came out nice and clear. Well done there . . .

Hi Tom. No, no extra EQ or compression is used with audio tracks here. I've made a video, showing plugins and settings, the link is in my signature. I was also amazed at how full, rich, saturated yet clear this plugin can sound in a mix. No MS processing here either, just a double track for rhythm guitar panned hard L&R.

the drum programming is pretty stiff,
and on a proper song,
you would want to go the extra mile to make that part of it...... special.
 
i like the guitar style and tone,
i like how you attack the notes, especially the bends,
sounds like there's a lot of finger meat behind the push of the note,
or at the very least, a good aggressive pick attack, which makes the notes really stand out.
