I've gotten a ton of use from the free f/x from Melda Products.  They have amazing presets for all their stuff.

I've used Span for so long other analyzers don't make sense to my little brain. Ultrachannel, Kotelnikov, Izotope dynamic delay, stereo room 2016 get used occasionally, but next to Span, TDL's Nova gets the most use.

L3V3LL3R by Platinumears (I use the reaktor version) - has that sound and can pack a punch or be gentle
 
Out of the Boscomac Reaktor pile I've bonded with retrobeat - quick cheesy fun beats and a lot of sampled old drum machines to choose from
 
This winter has been my time to dive into TDL's Kotelnikov and Nova free versions and I really like how deep they are

Voxengo MSED used to be my go-to for mid-side manipulation.  That has been replaced with another freebie, MUtility, from Melda Production, which does even more things.

a very old favourite... synth1 by the japanese guy.. but the extra presets make it and cpu wise it's light
 
TAL freebies (lot are discontinued now), BUT I like his products I ended up buying the priced versions
 
Camel.. well I bought their full products/everything a year before they pulled the rug.. nothing nice to say.. so I won't
 
melda, again the freebies are good. but the whole "buy once" offer made me go for it
 
there are a few fx vsts that have got the most awful gui's... but are useful. and no I won't say what, the less that use em.. the better ;-)
 
not a vst, but I use wavsaur (donate ware) a fair bit instead of loading up a full blown wav editor.. very quick
