So other than a total mix face lift, did they add any new functionality?

It is kind of weird.  When I owned other interfaces from MOTU, Mackie, or EMU or Steinberg.  I always looked forward to driver releases because it might fix a functionality problem that was driving me nuts.  Since I bought the UFX, I haven't had a single glitch or issue.  Everything works perfectly all the time.  Part of me is thinking, "whats the point of updating".  Of course I always like added features...

Certainly is a first-world problem.  Everyone should have their drivers written by RME.

Well, they make improvements and changed TotalMixFX in the last version, so still the process is updating for new tech items such as the iPad and iOS whatever which then the units were made to be class compliant so that you could run their RME units (some better than others) without a computer and on a iPad say and then the graphics has to be changed to accommodate the new tech hardware items.

And sometimes there are mistakes in the programming that they find solutions for when it is reported on the RME forum and sometimes they have to correct the programming done in the last version and some of that is working around problems not seen by RME for some people who own their products.

They listen at RME!

Dude Ivey
I kinda hated to update my UFX cause everything has just been flawless but everything seemed to update just fine and seems to still be rock solid! TotalMix looks cool too.
