I'm assistant mixing at my church now. We have dual Alesia quadraverbs, I believe the 20k's. we're trying to run simultaneous effects out of each unit but haven't gotten a chance to fool with it outside of service. These things were made before does anyone know how to set multiple parameters? I read somewhere up to 8 per unit..

Wow, I had one of those I think in the late 80's or early 90's.  Mine was the original with a chip upgrade to make it a Quadraverb Plus or something like that.  It might be different than yours, not familiar with the whole line and how they progressed later on.
 
If I recall you had different algorithms that you had to select from that would give you specific combinations of effects.  I think the most was 4 at a time on mine, in which you could get 3-band EQ, Modulation (chorus or flange if I remember right), delay and reverb.  There was also an algorithm that dedicated all of the processor power to just a single reverb, and one that would provide 5-band EQ, modulation and delay.  I really don't remember the specifics beyond that.

I still have a Quadraverb GT! It's the Quadraverb with a guitar preamp/amp Sim built into it. Haven't used it in a while but I do remember there is a page to go to on it to set what modules are active in a particular setting. Great sounding FX as I remember, but the gtr pre left some to be desired. 

I have one but I am not 100% sure what you are trying to do?
 
There are multiple base programs to choose from that have a specific chains of effects. You choose one that has the effects you want, then you choose how much of each of those effects you want to mix in.

I have a Q2. There are a lot of routing options. The Reverbs are quite good. I would download a pdf of the manual and preset list. Once you get your head around the blocks and routing options, it's pretty intuitive.

I had one I used live back in the 80's. There were a few different models I had the first generation. Genghis is correct in that I remember using the non- 4 efxs options mostly as they gave you better processing power and sounded better. I do remember my main pre sets were reverb / delay combos. I still see the patch change # in  my old MIDI files from those days, I used CH 13 to control it. 
It was pretty simple to set up your own patches and save them. 
Just find a reverb pre set you like and edit and save it. 
Then add a few more with a bit of delay. I think I used 10 different patches. 
I'm surprised your units are still working as all my Alesis stuff died along time ago. Good sounding gear but not very road worthy. Kinda like Behringer.
