I do the sax and bass clarinet parts.  Vocalist I work for Betty Douglas does the singing.  Working on some Hendrix right now. 

Interesting collab! I listened to "I Want to Talk About You". At first I missed piano or something to put on some harmonies, but after a while I thought this does actually work. The bass clarinet playing the bass line gives the song a mystique feeling. Good performances both from you and the singer.

Thanks Leizer, we don't always have a full band to work with on engagements.  So a lot of times we will work on just duos.  It's good work for me.  I am just learning bass clarinet so to be forced to be more exposed and play critical parts has been a worthwhile challenge.  The idea kind of caught on that we should arrange more specifically some material that allows us both to do what we do with less conventional methods.  She's a really fun lady to work with too.  That makes a big difference.

Very cool and performances were done both with great style and skill.

Making a song work with such sparse arrangements is a challenge and takes good singers and musicians to pull it off....and you did this one nicely. Not my cup of java but well done none the less.

That is an interesting combination...     I listened to "If You Could See Me Now" - loved the sax fills; nice phrasing, dynamics and tone.    And the vocals?    Wow.
 

Here is the Hendrix tune Angel.  I have been having problems with my audio engine a bit as of late.  But I did enjoy working on this for the sake of getting my vocalist to show a little more range.

Very cool! The stark arrangements must be tough to pull off in these songs but you nail it. And you really capture the live feeling with these.

Great stuff! Silky voice with a great horn in a very nice, very warm mix. I am in awe of the talent on display in these songs.
