Wookiee
It is probably quite an imaginative tune but I am sorry it made my furry ears itch could not make it to the end.

Hello Wookie, thanks for giving it a shot.

However, could you be a little more specific?
Did your ears itch because there was some drastic eq issues?
Or did it make your ears itch because it was to LOUD?
Or did it make your ears itch because you found the song itself objectionable?

I only ask because I can't improve my skills unless I know what a person doesn't like.  If it is the song itself that is a matter of taste, and there is nothing I can really do about that because it is what it is.  But if there was something terribly wrong with the mix I can take the critique and try to improve. If you would rather not say then that is OK too.

Are your ears really furry, or are you just saying that?

First Jesse yes they really are furry

The mix just sounded like it was in a box no definition.  I will have another listen later when I return from the dentist.

Well as promised on my return with one coffee and a Belgium bun in side my furry tum I sat and listened again, all the way through.

For me the things that stood out.
The drums are two wide, and possibly over prominent in places.
The Vocal effect did nothing for me, I understand experimental but for me it detracted and sounded very much like you were singing in a box.
What other instruments, did I hear a guitar or a bass or keys not sure there were things chugging in and out of the mix but nothing the furry paws or ears could really pick up on.

You probably worked really hard on this and I would not want to distract from your artistic efforts.  What's important when making music, for me, is that it pleases the originator and makes their ears smile.

This unfortunately did not make the old furry lugs smile.  But please do not let the opinions of a furry alien for far far far away in anyway think that you are doing anything wrong with your creative side.

Remember also the what we hear is very subjective what rocks ones boat will send others screaming for the door, neither are necessarily right or wrong.

Keep creating, one day........................

Wookie, relax your fuzzy mind.  There is nothing that you can say about my productions that will hurt my feelings.  I submitted this for critique, not to build up my ego on a superfluous phony stroke.

I like what you shared about your opinions.  It will help me to get better.

I will have to check out the drums.  I agree that they are a little heavy handed in places.  That is a problem in all my mixes and I'm starting to wonder if it is my room, so I will experiment more.

The vocal thing was an experiment, but the fact that it sounded like I was singing in a box has me wondering, so back to the board.
The mention about the other instruments not being heard was also seconded by others, so I need to think about that too.

I think I have an arrangement problem too.  I am so new at this that I tend to lose focus easily.

All in all, your opinions were not fuzzy, they were to the point.  But I still think you are a fuzzy guy in a warm way

Wookiee's have trouble stroking things the razor sharp claws seem to have a negative affect that way, there is also the running away thing when they see us.
