I love Cthulhu.  I'm mostly a guitar player but I can very slowly figure out and play chords on a keyboard, so I have found it to be a very useful tool.  I'd highly recommend it to anyone who has minimal (or zero!) keyboard chops.

The only thing worse than my keyboard skills is my typing (thus my usual short messages).

Thanks for the headsup. Between this and Sundog it helps me quickly get chord progression ideas down.

That Sundog looks very interesting.......looks pretty easy to get something going quickly (or does it require to RTFM)??

FWIW, you can scan the manual in a few minutes, PDF or online. The YT videos provide more insight. Watching them really helped me. Note that this runs standalone. You can set the MIDI Output Device to the (default) MS GS Wavetable Synth while playing around and then switch to LoopBe Internal MIDI to route the MIDI to SONAR.

Here's their YT channel:

And here's a link to LoopBe1 if you don't have it. Works great for me. I've never needed/wanted the paid 30 channel version.

And here's a link to Tobias Erichsen's loopMIDI (just to be fair), even though I've never used it.
