Err everything is blue now.

Ahh. I only loaded up a couple of instruments I knew had a lot of zones.

On NI keyboard the light guide for the default range is blue so I suppose its now carried over.

As it was before 5.6.5, maybe??! Seems like 5.5.2 is that way tho an NI moderator says its cleaner looking.

If the colored keyboard isn't to your liking, don't update. Tho any future upgrades will have it. Anyone seen a screenshot?

Maybe everyone could request an "option" to turn it on and off.

looks lovely; lots more info at the above link from those moving to 5.6.6.  No "blue" key problems reported and screenshot shows everything is groovy tuesday!

Thanks VM. Yea, it looks ok. I see they're keeping the "lights" above the keys as well as coloring them, a bit too pastellish for me. The old way does look better but can't please everyone.

BTW, I had to create an account and login to VI to see the screenshot. Why NI hasn't posted one is, well, just silly.

You can turn off all the keyboard coloring ("Show mapping and keyswitches on keyboard" in the Options under Interface) but there is no way to get just the lights above the keys and not the keys themselves colored.

The option is a bit odd, if it's on and you turn it off you have to reload the instrument to have the coloring removed.  But if it's off and you turn it on, the keyboard re-draws.

This is good news! I was holding back on the upgrades, but will take the plunge.

I am fine with this after a bit of use. It much better than the blobs and as a NI keyboard owner even the blue keys make sense. Good to see NI listening to their users.
