Headphone hum-one ear- solved. line in hum.

I dropped my Sennheiser 280 pros from the desktop to the carpet (30") and now I notice a hum in one side. Is that possible? Are they that delicate or should I be looking for some other cause?

I had a device plugged into Line in on my BR800

Are they modular?

If so, make sure the plugs are securely in their respective sockets.

I can't think of a reason why one side should hum - they should be a lot more robust than that.
