Wow, this is even more pet shop boys than some of the other ones,  the style and your accent.  The vocals sat in front of the mix, but my speakers are pretty bad.  You might want it to *sit* more in the mix, as it were.

Not much for this style, but I enjoyed it. It was a nice simple piece, without a lot of clutter. The mix was good, but I agree with the above poster. Maybe roll back just an itsy bit on the vocals and make more part of the mix. I think the EQ you have on your vocals would still cut through.

Now, remember my speakers are crap.  For ME the vocals are still too outfront.  How did you double the vocals?  did you delay the second voice by a few milliseconds?  It sounds cool.

I took the vocals down 6 db. The answer your question is, I overdub the vocals. It's not so much fun to do so, because I always feel the need to sing it differently when I  overdube.  it feels like I'm another singer. I thinks that's a natural feeling.

You know, I also hear this tune with a female vocalist - singing very smoothly and not much done to the vocals other than eq some delay and maybe a very subtle double-track.
 
I really like this style and this tune. Similar to what I write in a broad sense.
