I tried a scrabble app on my tablet recently. The words it comes up with due to having full dictionary access are so lame, literally words that nobody has ever heard or used.

I know a man who plays in Scrabble tournaments in The US (and is highly ranked in his class).
 
As he says "It's not about knowing what the words mean but about how to spell them correctly". Over time he has "memorized" tens of thousands of words. Doesn't know the meanings but maybe a 10th of them.

My Lovely Lady knows medical terms (mostly all of which are legitimate Scrabble words). With the right combination of tiles she can slay me.

Because Im not intelligent enough for my asian family. And tbh on the asian scale, I am a literal ****. Never got one A grade in any subject and couldnt become a doctor or a lawyer. From what I understand, 100% of the entire population of Asia and their descendants around the globe are doctors and lawyers. Aint none of them got time for piano.
