Update you may be able to completely remove the AI suite software, others who know about this might chirp in but from what I can perceive this may be unnecessary.

Thanks again Alex, I have done the uninstalls, and reinstalls, and updates (Little free driver updater, nice),  The AI software is an ASUS product that allows me to control my fans, Turn em up to chill everything off or quiet them down for acoustic recordings, while keeping one apprised of real-time temperatures on the  motherboard. Nice little program but I uninstalled it none the less.  But I cant find the AUD.INI file. Did a search, followed the path you gave with no joy. Not sure where else to look. Thanks again for all your time and help.

Here you go:

And also please reset and rescan your plugins afterwards, you will need to reconfigure everything in X preferences.
Any further issues from after this please paste windows event viewer messages.

The following probably doesn't relate to these issues, but I always disconnect from the net and disable any anti-virus programs before I install anything. Apparently sometimes if a program starts messing around with system files, the anti-virus program swings into action. Again, not saying that's what's happening here, but it's something to keep in mind. There are even some programs that explicitly say that if you don't turn off anti-virus software before installing, the installation will not be successful.

I concur on temporarily suspending any antivirus software prior to installing trusted software, such as Sonar.  Probably also a good idea on disconnecting from web, but I don't currently do that.

There have been many threads where folks who have reported all kinds of weird errors have gone back and installed again after temporarily suspending their antivirus software, and then found that fixed the weirdness.

Sometimes, antivirus software even interferes with the download process, like downloading Sonar.

Thanks guys! I will heed all advice given. On the re installs as instructed by Alex I did indeed suspend the antivirus. That. May indeed help. I'm trying the AUD.INI file change, maybe the path is hidden. Thanks once more for all of your time and patience!
