pinguinotuerto, My apologies.  You are not chopped liver.  I saw the first part of your answer about X3 and missed the part about the recommendation—my bad.  I was not in a good frame of mind yesterday and probably missed a lot of stuff.  I appreciate the suggestion!

Hey man,
No worries!!!! I was only joking! I really like AD, so you'll be fine no matter which Add Packs you pick!

I know you stated that you have reason NOT to upgrade at the moment....but I would think it would be a better deal to upgrade even if you don't install X3...JMO.  Then again, you could install X3 along side of X1 and use both if you wanted.

I have the Fairfax kit and the Jazz kits (brushes and sticks) and they sound really good.  Then again...the kits that come with AD2 sound good also.  I really can't say that they sound "better" than my Superior Drummer sets...I also have the Jazz sticks and brushes.  Both products have great sounding drums.

I just think you'd be better of money wise to do the upgrade and get AD2 for free.  But like I said...just MHO.

Big fan of the Indie kit here.  Just sounds great, with super ambient/room sounds.

Ted:  Good idea, thanks.

Sven, Thanks for the tip.  I do organic music so indie would probably be a good buy.

X3 + AD2 + Fairfax kit sounds like a good upgrade to me.

The Fairfax kit only come limited with AD2. You still have to buy it to get the rest of it.

A little confusion on Fairfax.  On the XLN site, they sell Fairfax for $79, but they say it "includes the Addictive Drums engine."  I am used to Session Drummer and EZ Drummer where you buy the program/player and then add on kits.  It sounds like Fairfax is stand-alone and includes the player.

Anyone know how this works?

THANKS
