Help
I'm very new to this recording lark, I'm using the Samson CO1U mic, I've just installed Cakewalk Sonar LE.
Now I'm stuck, the green light is on on the mic, I press record but when i listen back the recording is very faint, almost can't hear it, I've turned my speaker up full and can only just hear it then. What am i doing wrong, the mic and speaker are showing as my input and output, it all looks very confusing.
HELP!!!

have a look in your windows audio setup as well.. as you can modify the record volume in that.. are you sure your using the mic and not the onboard in say a laptop ?
 
are u using just the onboard card or one made for music ?
 
you can test the level in say other audio programs (try wavsaur or audacity) , if it's doing the same. then its your windows record settings
