That sounds right to me, Mix. It all boils down to which monitor is plugged into which port. Generally there is the graphics card default but Windows can override that and make either the primary. Even so it doesn't matter because as long as you do not have a program maximized it is simple to move it over to the other screen. In Windows 8 the monitor where you close the program will be where it will open up the next time you open it.
Its been so long ago that I can't remember if XP had that ability but I know Vista did and I'm sure Windows 7 has it too.
To me and I thnk most others see this as a non issue.
