I use both. AD has admittedly way better capabilities and sounds über fantastic. I just can't figure it out. I can't get it to do what I want probably entirely based on lack of knowledge.

With Session Drummer 2 I get what I want fast and have the controls easily understood and it sounds very good.

I hope to learn AD as I become more familiar with it, but it really can be frustrating. That said, it has fantastic sounding kits and I wish I could control them.

AD is great. Battery I found to be a suitable SD replacement but I'm getting more into Maschine nowadays.

Plenty of respect for SD but it seems to have been abandoned which is a shame.

It's been abandoned for 2 maybe more years. It's not that old. Agreed it's not a stand-alone stellar attraction product like Addictive Drums - but Session Drummer 3 is still pretty cool.

I'm with you. I thought the best way to learn AD would be to use it, and now I'm in the middle of a project and the drums (AD) seem to be running the whole show. I can barely keep up.
