My soft tube saturation in the pro channel of my Sonar x3 (e) is not really working anymore. I cant change the buttons in it but if I try to move the buttons the sound changes anyway. Sometimes it sotally breakd down visually too so that I can see through it or just see the half of it. I guess I have to reinstall it but how can I do that without reinstall the whole Sonar x3? Don´t want to risk to change all settings and adjustments (soundcard settings, shortcuts, saving folders etc) in the program cause it ís floating like a dream, just miss that little saturation knob sometimes.

Imj sure you can do a custom install for just the soft tube plugins. Also, if you purchased the Soft Tube separately, then just go to your Cakewalk account and download them from there.

Thanks for your answear. No, I have the Sonar x3 with the Soft Tube saturation included so I do not have it separate. That´s why I am wondering how to reinstall just that.

You could try just reinstalling, assuming you already are up to date, the latest update, X3e.

Like I said above, just do a "Custom Install." You do not need to do a full install for a dx, dxi, vst or vsti plugins. A custom install is what you need to do. Insert your disk or download and click the install program and then when it says full install or custom, select custom. Its worded something like that.

ProChannel plug-ins are not separately installable using the advanced install option. The ProChannel plug-ins are installed with the SONAR program itself (the first check box in the advanced install check list). Make sure to move the old dll out of the way before re-installing.

Where do you find the old .dll?

The PC tube saturation dll on my system is
c:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Utilities\Internal\PCS-CakeSM.dll

There are several PC Softube Saturation knob dlls on my system
c:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Utilities\Internal\Saturation Knob.dll
c:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Utilities\Internal\Saturation Knob.dll-old
c:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Utilities\Internal\Softube\Saturation Knob.dll

My Softube Knob installation represents the history of installs from X1 Producer Expanded through X3 Producer.
