Great ideas to avoid $30 expense. I have some velcro wire ties that I bet are long enough to go around my guitar neck. I may have enough to have one for each guitar ( I doubt I have THAT many). Will try that later and not have to sacrifice a dew rag.

Seems pretty cool so far. I need more time to test the new FX, but some of the new midi tools are useful. There is a sustain switch that lets you play a chord using midi, hold it and then solo over it using your guitar sound. Great for practicing. The new GUI looks good, but I didn't really mind the last one. The vet loading is better, and I haven't tried sfz files, but that should be a cool feature too.

Right...old GUI did the trick and having to relearn the program. Can't tell yet if tracking and bend are improved or what is added beyond effects. Fine program. Still some latency that will only be got around with next generation 5000 bit fast lanes.

I updated a few days ago .
Like the new GUI after doing a little hunting around to find the tuner and the ability to transpose ....
Yes , there are a lot of nice touches and features with this new release .
I find the tracking is much more suitable for my finger-style unaccompanied playing .
Playing the guitar in that way is very important to me and I feel this is the first time I may be able to pull it off in a live type of situation in real time with out having to contend with a number of unwanted artifacts ....

Also digging the video of the bass players Velcro tip ...

all the best,

I just noticed beta 16 was released.

This was prompted by checking out a thread over at kvr How to turn a monophonic to polyphonic softsynth
The thread uses midiPolyphony from http://www.thepiz.org/plugins/?p=pizmidi

I was interested in trying this out with u-he's Repro-1 and was using a MIDI keyboard when it occurred to me to test it MIDI Guitar. It worked pretty well. The setup in SONAR is
1) Add MIDI Guitar as usual
2) Route to an instrument track created with midiPolyphony
3) Add 6 instances of Repro-1 using midiPolyphony channels 1-6 as inputs.
