Hi all,

Sometimes when editing/adjusting on a single track/channel my Quad eq high or low frequency gains get turned way up on _every_ channel even though no other tracks/channels are selected. It doesn't seem to matter which control has focus and this morning it happened when I was increasing the velocity of a midi note in the piano roll - HF gains shot up by +14dB across the board. Again, no channels selected. It's not undoable either so the project has to be closed and reopen. It's happened on several projects and only affects the Quad EQ.

Anyone else seen this problem? Could I be hitting a keystroke I don't know about?

Any help greatly appreciated.

regards

Gary

It's happened to me a couple of times, usually while editing/recording automation on a completely unrelated track. When I reported it before, someone said I must be pressing the CTRL key and that this is causing a group edit. Since then, I've been very careful not to do that and it has still happened. Definitely a bug, but I can't recreate it at will.

Like you, I've become very careful of saving after a good edit, and closing the project without saving when I see weird stuff like this. I've also setup a "canary" audio track that I can check that has no FX or PC enabled. When it lights up, I know something has gone wrong.

To reiterate, the ProChannel becomes enabled, and a single band of EQ in the Quad Curve goes all the way up or all the way down, on every track.

Dan

Thanks Dan for the 'Canary' idea.

It's just happened again on a different project, this time pushing the HP freq to 4kHz across all audio channels while doing a write automation on the fly. I can't replicate it either.

I think you're right, that it mostly happens when using write automation. I'll stick to drawing automation by hand until this gets sorted.

Cheers

I'll admit it is annoying, but I've never had it happen multiple times in a single day...
