I have one, and I'm "meh" about it, but I think that's mostly because I didn't think out the install correctly.
From what I gather, if you're going to Automap you should really re-think your folder structure. I suppose what you would want is a dedicated Automap folder so you can ID them easily? I'd say just move the old ones out and put them on "standby" somewhere in case you need them again..but older projects would then be a giant pain.
I constantly find myself not in the proper SONAR template and have to do the laborious reconnection process. Plus, the correct template # is hidden in an obscure bit of documentation I can never find when I need it. Ugh.
I think novation should make a "super nocturn" device that has nothing but that single "magic knob" (or whatever they call it) that lets you immediately map a parameter and use it...but like 20 of them.
