Hi,
Forever it seems I've been Jury Rigging it by just inserting a simple "instrument track",and then creating  2 or more new "audio" tracks to separate the Kick and Snare, for the extremely mild processing I sometimes do,leaving everything else in the lone instrument track, but I finally MUST LEARN how to do THIS properly,as Karl Rose shows us on the X3 SWA Video with Addictive Drums, and that seems so logical,as Addictive has the numerous options for MONO outputs, that SSD4 does not seem to offer.
Sincerely
Bob

when you insert ssd4, there's an option for all tracks, stereo or mono. in ssd4, you can then route each channel on the mixer to a track in sonar. the little down arrow on the bottom of each channel strip.

be aware that kits are set up differently routing-wise. also, check to see which sonar track is getting which mixer track - you may have to fiddle with the track inputs to get the pieces routed where you want them. i don't think there's a track template for ssd4.

when you get it set up how you want it, make a track template.

Thanks, yeah I'm in the process of making templates for all the drum software I have, but it's SSD4 that's got me stumped,I know exactly what you're saying ,but it's just not working,my SSD4 drop down list in SSD4-for each kit piece has always only offered
STEREO?
So it's not the choices in X3 it's the list for each kit piece in SSD.

Oh man,I just realized what you meant by the mixer IN SSD4,but it still only says "STEREO Trks",so I'll try again,I also just had a BSOD when I tried to work it out,it's this stupid laptop,I should be using my desktop but in this part of Australia it's either Freezing cold[like NOW] or so HOT you want to die,and my desktop only fits in the uninsulated converted garage/room at the other end of the house-a comedy of errors.

I'll give it another go THANKS!

Hi ,
I'm still struggling with how to make SSD4 multi outs,as intuitive and logical as what Karl Rose shows us with Addictive Drums, but with SSD4 instead.
Sonars inputs give us the option for:Mono left,Mono right,Stereo,BUT SSD4's outputs only has STEREO from CH. 1 to 8:"ST"(the prefix that must mean stereo),and I presume the mono channels are CH. 9 to 16:"MN"(the prefix that must mean mono),whether you're using the CH.out selection from the SSD EDIT page,on the above part next to the shown individual drum instrument,OR underneath the SSD Mixer page sliders.

I'd be VERY intrigued to know how others with SSD4 "multi out" to X3.
Thanks
Bob

So no-one else use SSD4? The fact that SSD's "Stereo Out's only go to 9,and then they are Mono Out's? again How are OTHER users of X3[or X1 X2]mapping[?] or creating multi outs for SSD4?
I'm having a heck of a time with ride cymbals showing signal on 3 tracks, always when I get to the end of using the 9 stereo track "Outs" in SSD and then try and use the Mn which again I assume stands for Mono?

I just find SSD sits better sound wise than any of the others but creating a "reliable "multi out is very difficult. Do drum maps help?,also the Piano Roll does NOT seem to correspond to the SSD mapping so Iv'e been using General MIDI,but it keeps reverting back to a "Piano key look" rather than instrument names.
I thought i made some ok templates a while back but they're not right, and I would like to get this sussed,Iv'e also put it to Slate Digital, for a Sonar Multi out Hep File[like he has with Logic et al].
