There is a cool groove and a definite 'mood' here Jesse, I like that pulsing bass too. I'm reminded of an album I have by Mark Hollis (former Talk Talk singer) which is mostly improvised in the studio. I'd be interested to hear what you could come up with if you had some other musicians to bounce off.

Cool triply stuff. Just leave it as is.

This is indeed totally cool!.  It reminds me a bit of the experimental stuff that some of the so called New Wave bands put out in the late '70's.  There were even a couple of Florida bands that were putting our more tame but freeform (?) stuff way back in the '60's. 
 
I wouldn't change a thing except maybe bringing up the bass (but only if you are comfortable with that).
