I've been experiencing glitches upon autosave, and it's a bit frustrating.  I love X3 for it's functionality, but it seems to not work all that well with my Windows 7 x64 OS.

Not a single problem here. Same setup. I've even had to (occasionally) use the autosave version to get back to where I belonged.

Perhaps what he's referring to is that when Sonar auto-saves, it can cause a brief interruption in what you're doing. I don't think he means glitch like when he auto-saves, his Dim Pro string sounds turn into ukuleles.

I turn it off and on. For a while I had a prob with PC EQ settings disappearing on me. When working on large projects, I was having it save a version every 10 minutes or so and keeping 20 versions.

When recording a lot of midi, the file sizes get big, so I tend to turn it off in those cases.

Right now, I have the versioning disabled. It's faster and I don't expect to have to recover anything.

I would like Sonar to save unsaved plugin settings to new preset with date/time as part of preset name.  This would be like way helpful: reuse, file corruption, track templates,...

+ Big fan of "Save As"

Classic. OP starts out 3 years ago wondering if anyone uses it.

Comes back three years later to extol it's virtues.

The best yuk of the weekend.

The mystery:
Did he plan this?
Did he suddenly remember during a nap somewhere too warm?
Is he still dreaming: And Bapu continues his cameo appearance?
All of the above?

Odds?     Wagers?     Conspiracies?

Or is Bapu  actually mike_mccue?

Gottcha!!!!!::::
