+1, I have an older monitor which has a handy swivel in the mount, and tried the portrait display for kicks using Word, but that did not last very long. The reason is that I am an alt-tab fiend, and also like windows to be poking out from under each other (the main SONAR program is one of the few programs I run maximized, and on the main monitor). For speed of navigation, windows I will shift/resize I float and refocus as needed. As many programs/plugs are scripted to be landscape, a portrait display makes them more difficult to do this with (plus I am too lazy to rotate the monitor back and forth).
