  • When a project crashes, where does the backup saved file go?

Just had a crash and it said that it would attempt to save a backup of the file. I can't find it. Is there a place that they go? Or did I just lose 2 hours of work?

Well I've redone all the work that I lost. Not a huge loss. But I love the link that you gave me Alex. There's was something rather poetic about it. When I opened the link from my email, it said, "Page Not Found" Ha!

Opening it from the forum works though.

If they the files were good, they go to File Heaven. If they were bad, they get recycled into Excel spreadsheets that spend eternity on Pentium-based machines used by accountants.

Craig, I actually chuckled out loud to my cat at your post.  She was not as amused as I was, and flicked her tail at me to remind me that I work for HER benefit.

Or as we NOW call it: "the cloud" where they can live on forever.

In other words, your computer will be confiscated by 3 unmarked men in white protective gear at 3AM the day after the crash. If you are still on the computer at that time you will be confiscated with it.

One thing Craig left out... What happens if the files were neither good nor bad?

It's OK, the NSA has them.
