Lets say I have a guitar track from start to finish, but I want to add a clip volume envelope for automation. This way I can make sure the dynamics of the track are outputting around the same decibel rate. What do I do when I want to start edit cropping the clip. Take parts out/add parts in. How do I move the envelope around with the clip? I cant seem to move the volume envelope around. Is there a way to do this??

What I would do is Bounce the track to another track, which will apply the volume changes to the track permanently. Then you can slice and dice the track and move the clips around with the volume changes intact.
Archive the original track so you don't have both playing at the same time and using computer resources, but will have the track available for further editing later (unarchive).
