Anything bad said about, to, for or otherwise of the posters of these awful ads deserves them. Now I want to say really nasty things to these guys. But they will never see it or care in the slightest. They have done their dirty work and we are giving them more then they could hope for. We keep their ads up front, on the first page.

I ask you all DO NOT respond. Yes it will take will power I know. CW will delete them when they get to it and hopefully no one will see them much at all. This tactic will dis-empower these people and will make it less useful for them to do this.

With each reply we play into their whole marketing model. Do not be part of their game.

We need only to report them.

Just did some deleting and banning....and man it feels good. Sorry you guys have to be subjected to this at times, but as you know it's the world we live in. In my not so humble opinion, these sorts of spammers should be viewed with the same sort of disdain we usually reserve for violent criminals - in the 1300's that is. I'm thinking tar, feathers, nasty spikes - that sort of thing. Is there anyone here who wouldn't gladly take a swing at one if given the chance in person? Sometimes I'm shocked at the level of my own hatred for these vultures, but they really are the ruiners of all things good.

I agree that the best policy for you forumites is to ignore the posts when they show up and rest assured they will be deleted with extreme prejudice as soon as they are detected.

I noticed all the spam earlier today, and wondered then, how do I report them. I had ignored the spam earlier, but I'm home alone late on a Saturday night. So I pulled up their web site. I laughed out loud when I saw how they were displaying those shoes with cardboard crates in the background, the color written in what appeared to be Chinese. I couldn't pass up the chance to make a joke about my 4 inch red high heels.

I agree with what you are saying, we should just ignore them and report them.

John, I agree with you completely. But I am wired to respond to stupid with stupid. I simply do not possess the willpower necessary to abstain from being a smartass when these guys post. I (as you may have noticed) live for a good smarmy response or fake debate. I fear I lack the simplistic sophistication needed to ignore anything that puts those "funny little pictures" in my head. Please give me a pass from your no-response edict, otherwise I will fail and show myself to be the compulsive freak that I truly am...

Tdye; Look at the bottom of the post in question on the right side where it says report.

Jinga; I hear you and understand your point. Heck I have done the same thing in the past. The thing is you are very funny and when you post it often need to have an answering post or at least a LOL. This just gives the spamer what they are looking for.

I would be careful with clicking on them they may have a spy checking you out when you get there.

It is also a bit of "Never let them see you sweat" kind of idea. If they get nothing from us, no response at all, it may dissuade them from further posting here though I don't think so. But who knows it can't hurt.

It also occurs to me they may have it so they are sbscribed here when any of of us post on their thred they may know.

I just tried to report a brand new spam over on the home studio forum. For the reason type, I typed in spam, but received an error message that said I needed to input a valid reason type. Please advise. Thanks for your help John.

I'm not John, but I play one on TV... I think you need to input at least two words for the reason...There was a post about that on Friday I believe. (I'm still not John, but you probably have your TV off at this hour, so you wouldn't know it by looking at us...)
Also, if you combined our avatars, I'd probably be dead right now...
