Dear Cake Alex
As stated in last post, I tried updating drivers – directly from manufacturer sight. It didn’t make any difference. And as stated in previous posts, I have downloaded the Windows updates, and it happens in new projects (though only after saving the project and re-opening).

Yes did I read that... However I was directing my post towards jmasno5 as I quoted thanks. I was mainly concerned about getting the adapter model and driver version off him (this would be really interesting). It's also much better that two people can confirm the same thing to rule out the issue. I still maintain my updating advice. Again we want to see what is in common and what needs ruling out. Getting any system up to a base level does help in ruling out issues.

Right now some people can reproduce this and most people can't so it's pretty difficult to make any assumptions whatsoever right now including drivers, although sure it's less likely.

This is new unless I missed this - thanks...

Happens to me all the time.
Kind of annoying, but the reason I haven't mentioned it before is that I think there are other issues that are more pressing and should be dealt with first. On the other hand, I'm glad it's been brought up now, cuz if we're lucky it's a quick-fix. :)

Visually this looks to me like something resampled an image down for say 16x16 and then wound up scaling that back up before writing it to disk.  So be sure to start with a 96 x 96 image.  In the case where something is already pixelated, you'd need to replace it and resave the project.  Once the bitmap is pixelated, there's no converting back to un-pixelated.  You would have to overwrite that data.

Wow.. That is so true!
Could the whole problem be that Sonar by mistake uses the smaller icons used for the tracks in track view?..

Right, Alex. Thanks for the explanation.

(It’s quite a way back, but in post #40 I mention doing a test in a new project.)

Sadly only one person of that club has told us their specific display driver model and driver version. I guess I will give up asking now. Cheers :).

So two different cards from the same manufacturer.

That driver is about a year old, you could try the latest here (if you really want to you can always roll back):

I think the chances of it fixing the issue are slim now but worth a go.

Thanks..
