I can now record sixteen tracks live all on the laptop. I have eq, compression, reverb and complex routing on every track and bus. I can mix mains and monitors and headphones separately live. I can load spectral analysis and meters for every input and output and save the screen layout. And it fits in my backpack.

I recently replaced a dying MIDI controller with an A300 PRO. I never used the controls on the other keyboard ever, and I must say the ACT button is really handy (the extra 7 keys come in rather handy as well). First time ever to control SONAR from a piece of hardware, so is rather nice.

For me it's a Kemper Profiling Amp.
Sounds fantastic and reamping via spdif couldn't be easier.

Recording - prints a mono DI track (L) and mono track of the amp you're playing (R).
Reamping - send the DI back into the Kemper, change to another profile, arm a new track (mono or stereo), press play to record the reamped track.

I added a second computer keyboard and attached keyboard shortcut stickers to the keys. It's cordless, so I can put it out of the way when I'm not using it and pick it up and place it on my lap when I need to use it.

Looking forward to better DAW capability with a new, just purchased, on-the-way, got-it-for-a-great-deal: FocusRite Saffire Pro 24 DSP.  Hot Dog, becan & beans even!
Best,

Radial Pro48 DI box. Actually improved the sound of my guitar. Now I can record a take playing through my PODxt (zero latency) and record a dry guitar signal to reamp through Guitar Rig. Awesome!
