Maybe a bit indulgent but a great song by a great band.
 
The guitars and bass are me. The vocals are a friend of mine, Jim Miller (7th on Soundcloud) the drums are Addictive Drums and the organ is a combination of 2 organs and a Rhodes.  This is pretty authentic except for the end tag which I made up my own or nailed it. I never listed to it to get it exact but everything else is.

You nailed that distorted B3 and overloaded bass nicely.
 
Guitars, singing... all nicely done.

Pretty close, much better than my high school garage bands ever did it, lol.

When I was a younger and much furrier Wookling I played drums. One of the bands I played with then covered this along with a couple of other Purple tunes.

Sounds good to me and pretty close to the original.
