I haven't bought it yet.  Still trying to find out how well it behaves in Win 10.  Latest Googling says there are some issues there.

As I mentioned before I have the Non-Pro versions of both FX and AMP in Windows 10 and they run just fine. I have not had any crashes or issues with them aside from the UI taking a long time to load up and that happened in Windows 7 as well.

Thanks R.St.John

I'm just about to get Bias FX Pro and it's good to know there aren't any compatible issues. I emailed PG support today with the same question.

I too favor the live mic on Marshall....but i am getting some interesting results with Amp 3/4 mixed together....kinda accidentally ....anyone cross (Hybridize  ?) the sims much ?

I've owned pretty much all of the hardware modelers (except Kemper) and have settled down and bonded with my Fractal AX8. I could have easily been happy with my HD500 or Amplifire or Helix...but the AX8 has won me over.
I'm in the minority here, but the differences to me are very small and subtle when comparing modelers. They have all been great!
I'm tired of searching, and have ran out of options. The AX8, S-Gear, and Amplitube are all keepers.

For amp sims; Amplitube 4 and S-Gear are still my keepers as well.  If A4 is not fitting my mix the way I would like, then S-Gear usually does.  I usually start with Amplitube 4.

One of the issues with the sims, I believe, are that there are just too many choices.  I have narrowed my preferences down to a handful of my favorite amps that I stick too.  Endless dialing gets nothing accomplished; so I have streamlined my choices and work flow.

The new Fender 2 in Amplitube 4 looks really intriguing.  Fender has in Ampitube, has always been one of the best done sims, in my opinion.

Amplitube does Fender as well as the Helix or AX8. Spot on is as good as it gets.

I picked up Bias Pro FX a few days ago.  I'm running Windows 10 on a Studio Cat i7 Pro+.  I have a VS-100 that I'm running with an OctaCapture for the expanded I/O.

In stand alone mode the Device shows as Windows Audio and won't allow me to change it to ASIO.  The VS-100 ins and outs do show up in Audio Settings.  The OctaCapture does not. Unfortunately for me, I use the expanded OctaCapture ins for guitars.  Bias FX Pro will run as a VST, but changing presets is extremely slow.  I do tend to use presets as a starting point.

I purchased the software from Sweetwater and their support people did try to help.  The recommendation that they came back with was to try the ASIO4ALL driver to see if that would clear up the problem,  but I declined to do so because my machine is pretty stable and I have stuff semi permanently cabled to my sound cards.

There's two reviews of the software on the Sweetwater site and one does mention not being able to use the program on a stand alone basis because of not being able to utilize an ASIO driver.  If I remember right, that soundcard was a FocusRite.

Other than the stand alone issue, I have to say I like some of what I hear so far.  I need some more time playing with the settings.

Had the same problem with standalone not allowing ASIO. Found that setting OUTPUT first and THEN selecting INPUT worked. Weird, but try it, it might work.

As a guitar guy since '63, I've been sorted of glued to Fender amps and pedals. I do have my eye on a Vox AC10 and an Orange Dark Terror ('cause it has send and returns). I'm probably more often "clean", than scream. I find AmpliTube 3 or 4, works "well enough" ITB. Sold my POD ver2 and having listened back to some tracks, thought it worked well, too. I have Revalver but haven't really explored it much, nor TH .....

Over the holidays, I was really "caught" by the Blue Cat Destructor demos and have been thinking about that one... budget keeps it at "thinking" momentarily. LOL    Same for IK Fender 2. I do have the AT Fender, SVX, Jimi Anni., Slash, and ?? libraries.

Did anyone see the announcement that Line 6 has a $350 VST version of Helix coming out?
For me it's a matter of convenience. There are times when I mike my Princeton Reverb and there are times when I have to be more subtle and go DI. Those times are when I use the amp sims, and like some of you, I feel like they can take a while.... sometimes. I can sympathize with Yor Ol Pal regarding clients and wanting "speed". It seems like maybe it's my mind set that expedites or slows the process down, not the plug in or mic/pedals/room...

I thought I had something to contribute, when I started..... LOL

Guitar players. We get bored with our sound and chase around to get something fresh. Try amp sims and don't like it cuz it doesn't sound like me. Can't make music without the right gear. Can't make music with a Melotron or a Farfisa or a Bulgarian Groin Harp or a plastic Monkey Wards guitar. ...Hey, wait a minute...  "Nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so".
