Holy moly!!!

I've posted a thread before yesterday asking the forum's folks about my impossibilitie to use FX Chains and/or Manage Layouts in my newly installed X3... Some guys told me to update to X3e... I did it and, now, I can use FX Chains (and manage layouts)...

The thing is, now, I lost communication between X3 and my Integra 7 (I got a "communication error" message)... Ironically, the reason why I decided to update to X3 was precisely to use Integra's 7 VST3 plug-in, wich I can't use with Reaper because it doesn't read VST3 ...

Another curious fact is that, before update to X3e, it was working just fine...

Any ideas???

I'm just shooting from the hip but did you re-scan all your VST's?

EDIT: wow....I just checked it our and that is quite the sound module. ($$)
I hope it performs well and fits your creative desires/needs.

Hope that helps....carry on.

Muricio,
I also use X3e and own an Integra 7. For giggles I downloaded the latest I7 OS, the USB driver and the editor. After going through all gyrations to get it set up, I tried to change a tone and got a "connection error".

I've been using a free I7 editor that I heard about on the Roland Clan I7 forum and it works great. It's a stand alone application, but that's okay since I use it to set up the volumes, pan, and eliminate all effects. Sonar allows me to call up whatever tone I need for a track, therefore I don't need a real time editor that I can call up from Sonar. The editor web site is synth-voice.sakura.ne.jp/. A side benefit is that it doesn't need a USB cable, and transmits though MIDI. I don't use an editor for live performances.

Hey Walt, what you do to change the presets in I7 from Sonar?

Hey Walt, what you do to change the presets in I7 from Sonar?

I'm about to head out for dinner, but basically if you have your instrument definitions for the I7 set up in Sonar, you can call up the banks and patches from the track.
